benevolently watches

their progress

their caressing arms, their

dresses ;

the ceratops  

to the flatteries of colors and bangles,

and seen from the side its armoured snout

seems to give

a knowing  

smile, as if  

to say,  

“I lived eons

before you,  

therefore I  

know better”;

but the mammoth looks excited by the

geometries of faces, limbs and  

patterns, and bellows its celebration of beauty.

The sweet humanlike monster wishes  

to caress so much white, esposed grace,

betrays the rapt  expression of one

the time that

separates, that

opens chasms and distances, that might

have scared the striped creature caught

in the act of fleeing this jungle.

Tyrannosaurus is the giant of which they

become maenads, lifting their arms in

celebration, then taking shelter under  

stretching like seductions on the tail

of the extinct colossus that cradles them

toward their last, their crucial step,

the

one

where

savage, covered in mud

 they finally release the roar of Nature.
