Photography is re/production: the image always doubles itself in the shot, revealing new perspectives. The face – perfect, almost artificial in the call-and-response of lines and curves – betrays its own vulnerability in the almost wild pattern of freckles: nature’s sweet vengeance on whomever tries to capture her.
